Any chance this movie might be re-uploaded from a more authentic source (HD/HQ Webrip/RARBG/etc) other than this movie-channel TV broadcast (STARZ)?
It's not so much the quality of this version that is a problem, it's the stupid "STARZ" branding in the corner that appears periodically. Very visually distracting and kind of annoying.
I tried cropping it but that doesn't help (too much of the in-frame content is obscured).
Thanks in advance if this can be remedied in any way.
May 7, and it looks like the proper HQ Webrip version is up. Well, the URL cited Webrip before when it was that cam crap, then modified to "Telecine" (which is probably some cam label), but now it's Webrip... again...
The file size is bigger now ; 2.31GB from the old 1.91GB upload (for 1080p English). I hope that is indicative of better quality all around.
I have yet to hear the sound quality, though... Redaktorn mentioned still-crappy audio only 17hrs prior to my post....? Here's hoping everything is cool... frozen, even.
EDIT : Everything looks & sounds good.
Plot & rational as to where they are or why they is.....who knows. Still entertaining. If nothing else then there is Maxwell Jenkins, one of twins , stunning. Might keep those looks as he gets older too.
It is an entertaining movie, it is not for an Oscar but it is not garbage for me. If you like Super 8 and A Quiet Place it is an interesting attempt at a replica. For me, entertaining.
Excellent film-noir from the 50's (yet another one) and they certainly don't make them like this no more! Vastly superior in plot to many of the modern films which meander in and out of bedroom scenes having nothing to do with the plot. These get on with it with no time-wasting and extraneous material as eye candy or titillation - or needless special effects. A good script; a tight plot; good acting - it's got the lot. Never a dull moment!
Good old B/W movie. If you like movies from the 50`s then you'll like this. I've rated this movie a (7) as an old movie. Obviously it would of been less if I compared it with modern movies.
