Since the "three body problem" of so-called orbital mechanics summarily debunks the notion of there existing any possibility of "the earth" being a spinning ball in the sky orbiting the Sun whilst being orbited by the Moon, it is fascinating that in this exact moment in history when people are realizing that "spinning ball earth heliocentrism" and "outer space travel" are a hoax and blunder, that a TV series with an enormous profile with that title should appear.

Preposterous story as many of these 50's sci-fi films were and yet it is precisely that which makes them so enjoyable. My brother and I used to religiously go see these films at the cinema in our childhood so they bring back pleasant memories for me too. This is quite a good one. There are better ones, but also worse films of this kind from that decade. I loved the scientific clap-trap about cobalt and radiation!
