First, let me say, I was not impressed with Part 1. My rating for that was a 6, and I really wanted to like it, realizing what a difficult Novel Dune is to put to film. But Dune I was SO SLOW !
Part 2 is a completely different thing. The story is tight, the arc of the story, being told over 2+ hours is satisfying. A great story about a downtrodden people overcoming adversity is always a good watch.
Still, this film is not for most, as it is hard-core sci-fi. And that is OK.
